What is PRP Skin Rejuvenation?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) contains growth factors, stem cells, and platelets known to aid in healing skin and producing new skin cells. Combining PRP with other resurfacing treatments can be a way to enhance desired results.
How it works:
At Ageless Image, we administer PRP with an FDA-approved skin pen, Skinpen.
PRP Skin rejuvenation treatments allow your body’s natural growth factors and stem cells to repair the micro-injuries and heal the skin, providing natural results without a major risk for side effects.
Your expert medical provider at Ageless Image will:
- Use a special collection tube is used to draw your blood and place it into a centrifuge.
- After ten minutes of centrifugation, the platelets are concentrated and drawn into a syringe.
- The platelets are injected to the desired areas, such as the face, neck, and décolletage (the area around the neckline) using the Skinpen.
The total healing time depends on the emphasis of the treatment, though most people can return to their normal, daily activities immediately. On average, the skin might be pink one to three days after the treatment, and visible changes in the skin develop several weeks after the treatment. Results continue to improve up to six months after original treatment as collagen production continues over time.
